Afke de Groot completed her studies in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam in 2005. She started her career as a researcher on child labor and education in South Asia for the Foundation IREWOC. After that she ended up at the Dutch Department of the Society for International Development (SID), an international public-private network of professionals in the field of development cooperation and international cooperation. She first worked as coordinator, later as director. In 2015 she was asked to help to establish the IFFC office. As Operational Manager she keeps an overview of all activities organized by the IFFC and she is the contact person for all employees and members of working groups and projects of the IFFC.
